EML yellow light...

Drove the car yesterday on a 200 mile trip, stayed over night, then back the next day. Outbound no probs at all, then starting it up the next day for a return trip the yellow EML came on??? Car drove fine, took it steady at the start, did a few "sprints " up to 85, but nothing, felt as normal.
Any ideas??

Not a Mercedes but happened to me on my 2005 Suzuki. Everything in the car seemed to work fine and there were no strange noises.
It turned out to be an O2 sensor but you won't know until STAR diagnostics have been done on your MB then get it fixed asap.

Some makes of car will extinguish the yellow light after several drives if an intermittent fault does not reoccur. However, I'm led to believe once a Mercedes code illuminates the EML it's likely to stay illuminated unless/until the issue is fixed/cleared.

90% of the time these CEL don’t go away and it’ll be an instant fail at MOT time. If it was my car I’d buy a code reader and Google what comes up. The more expensive option would be to take it to a dealer of specialist for diagnostics - you don’t know what they’ll find nor how much it’ll cost. If it’s the NOx sensor or CAT, brace yourself.
