Brought home my new company car tonight. The new M Class with the 320cdi V6. After my initial slagging off of the interior - I take it all back for the sake of the engine. I left an X5 behind tonight or did he just give up once we past the ton? I have never driven something so big that fault so safe the wrong side of 100. I will update you all as the week goes by with my first impressions....

Look forward to hearing about the car. Should have one in the household by the end of the year.

(Edited to say I wondered how you got yours so quickly, although your profile does explain)

Not bad at all - for a Chelsea Trak'r!

Certainly better looking than most and very reasonable value for a Mercedes Benz.

Although the thought of something that big travelling at 100 mph is somewhat disconcerting - are the brakes up to coping with such momentum?

Have you tried it off-road yet....?

Has anybody??

...nearly tried it off-road tonight on the way home. Not intentionally, the chassis is so car like now, it really sticks on the twisty stuff, brakes are a massive improvement on the old car. I tried to beat the laws of physics - although there is little body roll I found the sheer mass moving from front to back and side to side - I really thought I was going to be in the history books for 'writing off' a new model.
I really am going to find it hard to give the keys back in 3 months. Downside? It only has 230 miles on it now, but 25mpg is not great for a diesel. Yeh, I know - it's Lilly Lead foot's fault.

Took the ML to it's homeland tonight (Chelsea), took great delight in drag style starts away from the lights. How can this monster hit 60 in no time at all? Even scared some bikers (Ok scooters). I absolutely recommend this vehicle to anyone considering it. Wonder if DMS do a chip upgrade yet.....

Glad you like it - picking up mine on Thursday. Saw it last week before PDI - very pleased with spec choice and looking forward to getting hands on it.
