1.5 B 180 D SE EXECUTIVE 107 BHP Automatic box
looking to buy what looks like a good version of this car.
Its a 2016model with only 24600 miles on it and with a full Mercedes dealer service history (paper receipts present and seen on Mercedes website). done every year from 2017 to 2023 so 7 in total despite only averaging 4 to 6k in each year so looks really good. Immaculate inside and good for age outside.

My question is on this Renault based engine I am sure its a belt not a chain and the service interval is 100k with no mention of age i.e. or 5 years etc just the mileage. So as the car is 8 years old with 24600 miles on the clock should I worry about the belt with such a good history?

Also are there any big unexpected things that crop up with this model that I need to be careful of?

I have test driven and I know its not a fast car off the mark being an 1.5 diesel Automatic, performs pretty much the same as my older 1.6 petrol manual Zafira tbh.

Appreciate any feedback before I commit my 12k spend.
Thanks

AFAIK there were two or maybe 3 versions of the 180D engine in that era. OM607/OM608 were belt-driven, OM651 was chain-driven.

1.5 diesel are the belt Renault engines

1.8 and 2.1 diesels are the Merc chain engines
