CLS350 Shooting Brake Petrol IMPORT
Discussion
Hi - Looking at an imported CLS350 Shooting Brake with the petrol CGI engine. Love the look of these things and have been tempted by the CLS63 but can’t really justify the extra outlay and running cost. The 3.5 V6 is 300bhp+ and makes a decent noise with reasonable fuel economy - a pretty perfect compromise in my book.
Does anyone know if these were even sold in the UK? The E350 CGi seems rare enough, especially in estate form.
Anything I should be concerned about with a Japan-sourced car? I’m assuming all normal UK conversion has been done (satnav/radio, Speedo, reversing lights etc). Assuming also that it would be ULEZ compliant?
Does the CLS suffer from the same subframe corrosion as the regular E-class estate? Should I be worried about that being covered under Mercedes warranty if an issue?
Any thoughts appreciated!

Op did you follow up on this car? I'd given them a call, but it appears they sort the radio but not the sat-nav, don't do any underseal cos "underneath it all plastic covers" and although teh guy was pleasant enough it out me off somewhat.By the tome you add a car play type thing for circa £500, same cost or more for undersealing and possibly? higher insurance, it suddenly didn't seem quite as attractive as a proposition.

I wouldn’t assume it was ULEZ compliant. A car made for the Japan market may not have the same emissions equipment as an EU market car. There may also be differences in what emissions are measured for the Japanese registration, so it may not have the required EU emissions data.
Actually the reg plate shows up as compliant with ULEZ so that looks to be ok.Gassing Station | Mercedes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
