W205 C63 decat?
Discussion
Has anyone done this?
I have a 2016 C63S saloon, no sport exhaust. it is load at start up only, after the burbles along, but too quiet for my liking
Is it worth fitting. They seem to be around 800 supplied.
Anyone you can recommend to supply / fit?
Or is there no point without the exhaust? I don't think exhaust can be retro fitted from what I have read
TIA

Whilst removing the cat(s) will make a difference, the issue will be the valve in the centre pipe, which to my knowledge comes AFTER the cat's themselves.
So you might have no option but to get a full system (or at least cat back) which would allow you to choose if you want valves in-line or not.
Owned a 2017 C63S for 3 years - got to say the difference between having the switchable exhaust or not was a deal breaker for me, took me a little while to find one, but it was definitely worth it.

thank you. Into the rabbit hole I go!So you might have no option but to get a full system (or at least cat back) which would allow you to choose if you want valves in-line or not.

yeah tbh when I went to look at the car I started it up and it was so loud I assumed it had the exhaust. A few days I later I checked and there was no exhaust button. Pretty silly really. I was confused as I owned a W204 which has no button so wasn't looking for it

I've got a pre-facelift W205 without the exhaust and never found it too quiet to be honest.
It pops loads and louder in Sport+ but not comfort. For more sound the best option is a secondary cat delete. Depending on if you want to keep the cats is very cheap to have done.
It will still pass an MOT too.
