so just had the lovely adblue level not reading error on the car, merc want £99 to diagnose the fact they will want to replace the entire system and reports say £2000! thats it never having a diesel again frown

Personally I’d not be buying a diesel again - I’m a fan of diesels and like the power delivery etc but these modern ones are just over complex chemistry sets.

If I were in your position OP I’d just get I’d coded out so the system no longer needs adblue and no errors show. Someone will no doubt start screaming about dirty diesels, the law etc but they can go spin on my middle finger if it still passes a mot.

We'll update we had it replaced as we need the car and can't have it doing the won't start countdown

But we have decided to find a replacement that isn't diesel!
