2.0l 190E Engine

Hi everyone,

I don't normally get down to this neck of the forums, but can anyone advise where the best place to pick up a cheap second hand engine for a 2.0 ltr 190E would be?

are pretty genuine & reliable (some of the other places are not so), I know (via web forums) one of the guys who works there and he's a nice chap.

They even actually call you back with prices .

By the way, if you are replacing a 190E 2.0 engine, you might as well fit a 2.3 engine (not the 2.3-16v cosworth one, just the basic 2.3 from the E-class and also from 190E models in foreign countries). It's the same engine but with bigger bore (or stroke?). Hooks up to the same gearbox, don't think anything needs changing.. mention it to Mercman and they will know if anything else needs changing. Let us know if you do it... it's 14 free bhp (136 up from 122) and extra torque too.
