I think the SLS and my immediate response, the AMG GT, are probably too expensive to be muscle cars, which are supposed to be about cheapness and blue-collar as well as performance.

So probably the C63 coupe.

The 450SEL is the original Mercedes muscle car.

The SLS etc is a sports car so doesn’t count imo.

The V12 cars don’t count either, especially if they have a turbo.

A M156 engined car counts, as does the E55 NA and my own car the 500e.

450SEL is definitely closest to a German version of a Hemi Cuda though which to me matches the German version of an American muscle car.

Comfy V8 saloon, goes like stink in a straight line and sounds fantastic.
Can't be the C Class, it's too small and less powerful.

I have an E500 coupe, looks like any other e class coupe but has a 388hp 5.5 V8. Not the best handling in the world but will light up the rear very quickly

Muscle cars are generally big bodied cars with oversize engines. Not sure how a C class or SLK fits... .

E500, W124 must be high up there and the W204 AMGs can be tuned for serious speeds and output.
