Extended Warranty on Mercedes C220 PREMIUM
Discussion
Hello all,
I am a newbie on this forum so please forgive me if this subject has already got a thread of its own point me in the right direction.
So I have purchased my first Merc, and excitement is an understatement. The broker offered me an "extended warranty" of up to 3 years with "WARRANTYWISE", I have gone through the contract and in theory it seems like I've got that peace of mind as it covers the main problems such as electrical, gearbox and engine. Then out of curiosity I googled warranty wise and the reviews are horrendous, so they've def changed my mind about using this company before I do so, does anyone have any previous experience with "Warrantywise".
The vehicle was purchased from the very reputable "Mercland", which also offers an extended warranty via RAC , has anyone got any experience of that?
And finally, I have looked at getting an extended warranty directly from Mercedes, that would give me peace of mine as they're the manufacturers , however their extended warranty does not seem to cover loads compared to the previous 2, any advice would be much appreciated.
The car is 7 years old, automatic, diesel with 70K mileage. I would rather get an extended warranty in case of a breakdown than not and require serious advice. Apart from driving cars, I do not know much, happy to take in recommendation.
Thank you all

The General view on here that ai have read is that aftermarket warranties can be a bit hit and miss. They often see, to try and make it difficult to claim.
Manufacturer warranties seem to get a better review.
I had the Mercedes warranty on my Mercedes when I bought it used and paid for another year (as it proved very good and easy to claim on when I had a problem). The cost was quite high though so I didn’t renew it and instead ‘bank’ the premium. I would say I am financially better off by paying for repairs myself.
