R171 SLK Electric Door Mirror Question
Discussion
So my lovely wife forgot that her door mirrors are electrically folding (she never has to retract them!) - but parked somewhere she felt was in danger of being clipped and so pushed drivers side in by hand!
Now the mirrors are out of sync - both will move in/out on the switch but when one is in, the other is out.
I manually pushed the offending mirror back out to hopefully put them back in sync - so they were both out, but then pressing the button to retract only bought the passenger side in! (ie taking them back out of sync).
I suspect the gear mechanism is busted?
Anyone had a fix for this??
Thanks in advance!!

There are plenty of threads about this problem, via Google - searched on "SLK mirrors out of sync".
This one was posted by someone for whom other posted solutions did not work :
1. Open fuse box panel in the side of dashboard.
2. Remove the fuse for R/H door mirror (sorry don't have a number to hand).
3. Push folding button. L/H door mirror should now fold only. Folding mechs are now both aligned in sync.
4. Remove Main door mirror fuse from box also (not L/H one) then replace. Doing this seems to reset the folding mech memory.
5. Replace R/H door mirror fuse and test again. Should now both fold in sync.
