Coolant colour

can anyone tell me what colour coolant goes in a Mercedes slk 2012 r172 2.2 diesel amg

The colour is less important than the type.

Merc’s of that age require coolant to MB spec 325.0. I use Comma G48.

<AmericanForumUser>Only use MB main dealer supplied coolant. It was made for your car, so why would you use anything else. I’d suggest a full flush before top up too.

And have you changed your oil - MB dealer supplied only - this week?

I take the view if it’s listed on the now defunct Bevo, and is “approved” (rather than “meets the requirements” or similar weasel words), it’s good enough!

I’m just taking the piss out of the Americans on these Merc forums - basically if you don’t use genuine Merc stuff or change your oil every week your car is trashed.
