Picked up yesterday a gem of an SL, one owner huge bundle of receipts, so some assurance of a loving owner.

I love it, gentle, civilised and like being hit by a truck of marshmallows when you open her taps.

Any other SL600 owners on here?

So it was an eventful weekend at Heveningham Concours with the pretty lady she did me proud. We hit 88mph over the HillClimb mid field time to be honest but she’s not a racing lady and behaved herself impeccably.

One thing I will say. She’s nowhere near as thirsty as her driver!
School run returned 19.4mpg and all weekend including some spirited late evening drives and three hill climb “races” she’s showing 17.1mpg. At least double what I was imagining.

Now talk to me about Kleeman ECU’s.. 😈

Must be pretty rare. Amazing cars for the price they sell for.

I’d be making sure that it’s garaged or covered when not in use.
Water ingress to the boot is something to be avoided

The Kleemann remap involves sending the ECU & the TCU to Denmark.
The net result will be 650 bhp / 750 lb ft which is around the Mercedes mandated 738 lb ft torque limit for the transmission.

I believe 600 SL unlike the contemporary CL600, came with an LSD. If not then a Quaife ATB is a must with the Kleemann remap which will give you more than 1000 Nm of torque.

Indeed, leads to some expensive repairs, twice as I've found out to my cost. Might be worth getting the boot seal replaced as a precaution.

Lovely car OP. Same colour as my lowly 350.

Back in the 70’s and 80’s I think it was - spent a lot of summers on the beach/water in front of it.
