GLC 43 AMG Coupe - Winter wheels & tyres

I recently picked up a 19-plate GLC 43 AMG which has 21" wheels with 255/40/21 front tyres and 285/35/21 rear tyres.
Planning ahead for winter, I'm considering buying a set of winter wheels & tyres. Where I live (Scotland) can get a bit icy and slippy, which the summer tyres might struggle with.
Has anyone done the same, and can recommend where I could get a set for not-too-painful cost?
Previously I had Michelin Cross Climate tyres on a pickup truck which really helped in winter/cold, so would get them for the GLC if I can get wheels too.
Am I right in thinking winter wheels should be all the same size, rather than staggered? And if I go for say 19" winter wheels then I'd be looking at 255/50/19 tyres all round to keep the ABS/speed sensors happy?
