2006 convertable 3.0 CLK280 Sport Cabriolet 7G-Tronic 2dr
Discussion
OK, This is the 1st time in my life that i've been in a position to have a 'fun' car.
Always like Mercedes and quite like the idea of a convertible.
One on offer near me, 2006 3.0 6 cylinder (never had more than 4 before) 80.5k miles. £4100
apart from looking for obvious rust, anything else?
Should I consider costing a major service (brakes, tyres, A/C, cambelts ect) ?
Or am I just having a midlife crisis at 49?
Opinions most welcome
Thanks

brilliant Thank you Watch the CO2 figures on these. I suspect that only the Elegance trim on 16" rims comes under 225g/km, which means £395 pa VED, whereas the others above this are £675 for cars first registered on or after 23rd March 2006.
Also rusty rear brake pipes; the tank has to be dropped.
Has the auto box fluid been changed? Also, I think the conductor plate can fail on these boxes.
The plastic lever that operates the variable length intake can fail.
ETA dates from which VED is applicable.
