Should have done this when I bought my W212 3 years ago - but I just purchased a very late W204 with the colour NTG4.5 and would like to upgrade to full Android Auto whilst IO still have the new car motivation and momentum!

There are a number of suppliers and hardware options - what is 'proven' and popular? Most coe with combined Android/Carplay however I have zero interest in Apple compatability, if it matters.

You'll find more info on this on the MB specific forums out there.

Road Top is fairly well reviewed when it comes to their full Android headunits - and I believe there are quite a few threads on their android auto unit on MBWorld and similar.

You can pick one up from Amazon for £210 - and given you can send it back if it's broken, it's where my money would go. I simply wouldn't bother with AliExpress as saving 25% is no good if there is zero support if the unit is DOA.

If you're having a company fit it then you're probably better opting for their recommendation if they're 'supporting' it - at the end of the day I'd do your research on these if you've not already as they are never as slick as OEM (although some are pretty close...)

Thank you - I'd had in my mind that it was going to be a much more expensive do than that:

If the more generic/branded specials are getting decent feedback then I'l happily go with that option.

I'll take a look on the other forums!

I'd do your research and compare feature, at the end of the day, Amazon's returns process is pretty simple if it's 'broken' wink

WRT to the one you linked, it's still going to be made in a factory in China, it just so happens its got some nicer packaging and a manual that's likely to be written in clear English.

Good luck!
