Hi Peeps

Thinking of buying a B180 Bluefficiency 2012/13 model year. Auto.
Its going to be a second family car, wife will use the X5.

I am going to be commuting once a week down the M4 and in to London and back a few days later. I am going to get the highest spec one I can find.

A couple of questions, how are they on the motorway? Are the seats good for a few hour commute?

Are you happy with the ownership experience?

Thinking about getting it re-mapped to 220/250 spec, something around 150-200hp. Just to make it a little more confidence inspiring when a bit of power is needed.

Reason I am being specific of the type, is that I am going to buy it from Japan, 90% of the B class there were sold at B180/Auto spec, and they do some very stylish high equipment models. Besides, i am over 50 and couldn't care less about changing gear, especially as I crawl along the M4 for half an hour.

Any insights greatly welcomed

I've only got the following hearsay:

What type of auto box is it; is it a CVT? There is a thing about A/B class CVTs having problems, but mwstewart tells me that it is an easy fix. If you are thinking of re-mapping it, how much torque can the auto box take?

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply.
It has the 7 dual clutch auto I believe, and the same gearbox is used on the B220 and B250, so think it shoukd handle the power.
I am not looking on maxing out the performance, probably just a 30% gain approx
