w212 coupe questions
Discussion
I'm currently obsessing about e-class coupes and have found one that looks to have the desired spec- 2016 e£50d with memory seats, pano roof etc.
The advert says it has "Agility Control Sports Suspension with Adaptive Damping System" - how is this controlled or changed from "comfort" to "sport" (and vice versa)? is it in the command system? on others I've seen there is another button to the right for suspension modes.
This is the command console from the advert:
thanks

At a guess I'd say a button on the console. The thing I get confused about is whether the system in the Coupe is adaptive dampers only or the full Airmatic. The advert says it has "Agility Control Sports Suspension with Adaptive Damping System" - how is this controlled or changed from "comfort" to "sport" (and vice versa)? is it in the command system? on others I've seen there is another button to the right for suspension modes.

The reason I wonder is because the 212 Coupe is built on the C Class platform which didn't have Air at the time.
ETA; just re-read your post and it's adaptive dampers. In a W or S 211 you get a button the console for the Airmatic (which includes adaptive damping) for Comfort/Sport/Sport 2. In a W or S 212 the same except there only two modes; Comfort and Sport. In both cases the button is on the driver's side of the console.
There's also a comfort/sport setting for the gearbox. IIRC it's on the passenger side - so that's maybe what that button does.
I can't remember because I always leave the gearbox in Comfort. I do toggle the suspension a lot - I use Comfort round town as in mine, anyway, it backs off not just the damping but also the spring rate and it also raises the ride height. One of my favourite buttons,

You need to clarify which model it is, as there wasn't a W212 coupé and (late) 2016 was the changeover year to the W213 which did have a coupé. The previous E-Class coupé (2009-2016) was a C207.
IF it's a C207, then they had 'Agility Control Suspension', which included Adaptive Damping System (no switch, adapts automatically) as standard. Sports models and all V6s had Agility Sports Suspension with parameter steering. Separate switch for eco/sport gearbox.
Std on 500 models and optional on Sport models was 'Dynamic Handling, with sport mode', which did have a switch on the dash. Switch changes to 'sportier suspension, throttle response and shift pattern' in one hit.
