C63 (S205) new discs and pads - Advice please
Discussion
Hi all,
I have an 2019 S205 C63 wagon and need new discs (and maybe pads).
Would you stick with OEM or go for aftermarkets options (and if so which ones)?
Been advised to replace pads at same time even though they're only 50% worn to avoid brake squeal - is this correct?
Also read that carbon ceramic pads are good to buy as produce much less brake dust - again advice here please?
I think it's got 360mm front discs (as it's a C63 and not C63S which has 390mm).
Thanks
Tom

Personally, I'd stick with MB ones but you'll have numerous others recommending all sorts of aftermarket discs/pads.
If you're not sure which discs you have, it would be worth measuring their diameter before ordering, though if you buy from a MB dealer they'll use the VIN and supply the correct ones. Brembo are one good aftermarket brand but I've no experience of them on a C63: I'd certainly avoid some of the cheaper brands.
Numerous MB dealers supply online via ebay, ie Newcastle, Edinburgh etc. and can be competitive pricewise.
With regard to pads, good practice is to always renew pads when renewing discs; the old pads will have worn to match the old discs.
