CLA35 AMG - Electrical gremlins
Discussion
I'm posting this on behalf of my Dad, he's 71 so not very forum savvy.
He bought a CLA35 new in 2021. Since he's had it it very often comes up with the errors:
- Automatic lighting system has failed (so he just switches to manual lights)
- Radar system has failed.
The other day he was driving in torrential rain on the A12 and both errors came up and the car stuck itself at a constant 5,000 rpm. He had to pull over in a lay by and as i understand it turned the car off and on again. It was then most unpleasant trying to get back on the A12 from a standstill with zero visibility.
He got Mercedes to look at the car today, they just brought it back saying they can't find anything wrong.
Surely these errors must be logged in the ECU or somewhere?
Has anyone else had the same experience?
I don't think that just saying there's nothing wrong when there clearly is is a satisfactory service and response!
