Anybody done the 3 hour AMG experience at MB World?
Discussion
Having recently purchased an AMG model, I am tempted to do this to explore the limits of the car (or their car anyway).
I have previously been on a corporate day, which involved about 30 mins in the performance car.
Anybody done the AMG half-day and how did it go? Does it help get to know the car and therefore be more confident in day-to-day driving?
Any other similar experiences which may be a better fit for what I am after?

I have done one of the half days that come free when you purchase a car, in 2017. Never bothered going back for the second.
They do some emergency braking with you, and then some simple handling drills. - both of which were pointless and felt more of a test that the cars systems were working correctly. Then you get to go round the track, in, I think, two sessions of about 20 mins (to stop overheating).
I was in a C63 estate, and what struck me was that it was only allowed to be in sport and not sport +/ race, and I was discouraged from using the paddles. The instructor was also entirely disinterested.
Overall, I was bored and disappointed. It felt like an exercise in not putting too much brake, tyre and engine wear on the cars.

I had heard good things, but was a little underwhelmed. I think it’s worth it if you’ve never been on track, but you’re pretty restricted.
Not much time on the actual circuit, and it’s quite short. The rest of the time is spent testing the boundaries of grip - either in a straight line or slowly around the skid pan, it was interesting but not all that exciting. I’ve done a good few bike track days, so no doubt it would have been more exciting if track driving was totally new to me.
I would/have spent my cash on a track day. Goodwood is a good shout as it’s never very crowded and it’s a less hardcore track crowd.

Thanks for the comments. I have experiences all areas on my short 30 min experience, but from above it sounds like the half-day doesn't add much more. I thought it would be a bit more bespoke and you could inform the instructor how you wanted the day structured, but perhaps they are just a little too coprporate out there and I won't achieve what I am looking for. I will seek recommendations for other driving instruction.
I had a good experience with https://catdrivertraining.co.uk/ at Milbrook and got well into the handling & systems. It was the only track based training I could find that did it in your car. You need to be clear on the brief you give them though, mine had more road based Roadcraft stuff than I was expecting based on the miles I said I did. It was useful, but would rather have more time on the circuits
If you really want to explore the limits of you and your car (or just become a faster, safer driver), then you could do a lot worse that speaking to Ivan @ Total Car Control (https://www.total-car-control.co.uk).
Everything is done in your own car, tailored to your requirements - a totally bespoke experience.
I did a 2-day 'Total Control Masterclass', the first of which was spent at Millbrook on everything from their High Alpine circuit, short road course(s) and dynamic handling pad. The second day was spend on-road in Cambridgeshire putting into practice everything I learned the day before.
Ivan the owner, used to work for a number of companies training other drivers, notable Porsche and (helpfully) AMG - so you really can't go wrong.
