2006 S Class

Anyone have any pics/specs (or links to) of the upcomming S Class?

My dad wants to upgrade his current S Class with a 2006 model and Im trying to push him to a CLS (nice black AMG one local to us:lick:)

Any help appreciated :)

Tell him to buy a nearly new CLS55 now and wait until the fuss is over on the new S. It will be just like when we launched the E Class....loads of electrical issues, gateways failing and the sales dept laughing at the word 'discount'. The CLS turns heads and goes like nothing else. The new S wont have the supercharger and will feel slow by comparison.

Id forgotton about the E class electrics. Did look at one when they 1st came out but was warned off of them. May quote you about the S Class to push him to a CLS (he'd buyone if they did a diesel...bloody grumpy old men LoL)

Yeah, I have some specs on my site:

There will also be an S 600 V12, about which I know not enough to put any information up. Full details will be released on or before the 12th of September.

Thanks for the heads up on the CLS diesel, that may get his attention, and maybe I could sneakily point him in the direction of an AMG while he's distracted? He might notice a difference in the cheque book though

Not seen many CLSs, but IMO the black ones look the dogs over lighter shades

Agreed. If you want a bit of a deal we are registering a black CLS320cdi with black leather tomorrow, it will be sold as an ex-demo in December. There will be a bit of a saving but not as much as a normal demo .

Yeah Tony, any updates on the new S yet? Tried convincing the old man to get a CLS but Im

S320cdi will suit him down to the ground. The only info Ive seen on the car so far is the auto brake assist and the gps cruise control. Anything else he should know about? Where's your dealership? Maybe we can hook up with you for a deal come the time?

..funny enough we started to spec up our January cars yesterday. I don't have much detail - I will check on the infonet on monday. Good chance of getting an early car as we dont have many people ready to spec one without seeing it first. Autocar website has some details on it as does the German site. Any info you can get from Infonet re: launch dates of the S320L CDi (the German site only lists the S350/S350L and the S500/S500L) would be much appreciated.
