G wagon 2012 versus 2013

Considering buying a old shape G wagon 350d

Are the model year 2013 cars worth getting, appear to have updated dashes, steering and Nav ?

It's usually the 11's and earlier with the older interior but you may be looking at an early 12. I would say yes, they are largely the same (engine and body etc) and either way the infotainment will be out of date but the updated ones are a step more modern. I like the older ones because it is a straightforward swap for a double din headunit if you want to update and I like the more retro interior styling but for most people the update is more desirable.

If you haven’t bought anything yet then it is worth noting that the early G350 CDI engines had smaller sumps which gave issues and were changed to the later type, sometimes under warranty.

Ended up buying a 2021 530e as a stop gap, but still keen on a post 2013 G350
