Hi All. Wife has just changed her C43 with a PE to a E53 Mar 2019 W213 which doesn't and already missing the sound. Has anyone improved their sound on a E53 and if so what did you go for. She is just wanting it sound sportier/growlier but not all the pops and bangs. Looking to spend up to £2k but not getting much luck on Google. Thanks in advance folks.

Does she like the sound in Sports +?

I was looking for a PE on mine when I first got it but I didn't bother in the end.

Thanks for the response. Yep she does like Sports +. Not sure how practical to drive all the time in that mode? I know when I had my C43 Coupe I didn't but it had PE as standard.

Has it got the switchable exhaust?

No it doesn't. Merc have confirmed no retrofit of PE and any non-Merc fettling will invalidate warranty. Suspect may just have to live with it and use Sport+ where possible....

I usually just drive around in Sport mode to be honest day to day and found that a good daily, comfort is a bit lazy but good for city traffic, the sound in sport is okayish especially for nowadays when cars don't even sound that great anyway.
