I viewed a 2010 E350D yesterday and loved it.

However It was sat on its ass/air suspension leak.
How long should it be able to sit for without dropping?
Are there common leak points?

It has an error for blind spot monitoring being disabled

It struggled to start and was lumpy at idle and ehilst driving the glow plug light came on. Apparently all signs the glow plug relay module is bad.

Anyone got views on any of this?

Thanks in advance

My 2014 E350d stays up at the rear indefinitely. At least it did for the last 5 years, it has recently started dropping over a few days but not so much that I can find the leak so it is a case of waiting until it gets worse so I can find the problem!
Just after I bought the car the rear suspension dropped a lot overnight and it had new airbags fitted. The suspension then did not drop at all until recently. I suspect that this time it is one of the air pipes or associated fittings.

Can’t help on the warning lights except to say that is not right!

Are you looking for an estate or saloon?

W212 is the saloon variant I think (S212 being the estate).

Rare for saloons to have air suspension, at least it is in the UK. Estates came with rear air suspension as standard.

Thats good to know about the read subframe. I didnt look.

I was supposed to be viewing 6 cars but this was the first, so i took it for just a short test.

Anyway, ive agreed to buy it assuming no additonal faults.

Does anyone here have the Mercedes dealer software who is able to tell me if coding out the blind spot monitoring is an option?

Thank you

If it is replacement air struts, they are about 1k each plus taxes.....be very careful of dropped suspension as it can economically write off such old high mileage cars.

A guy on FB said hes just replaced his air suspension for £450. I checked the company and its legit.

Maybe Merc suspension is £1k?
