Hi guys possibly Looking at the market for a SL 400 and need a bit of advice as to the changes between a 2015 SL 400, and a 2016 SL 400.

I realise there were a few changes in 2016, but as far as i can see it was just to the front end/grill design.

Also the power stated in a 2015 model is 333, where in a 2016 it is 367....? Same engine but less power...?

Do they both have the same engine and 9 g auto box.

Would appreciate it if someone could explain all the differences between the 2015 and 2016 models.

I think there was also a slight change to the folding roof and how it stows - I think it can be lifted to retrieve luggage when in the roof down position.

All R231s have an electrically operated cant function for the hard top when it’s down to allow access to the boot.

The roof difference for the facelift R231 is that the boot separator can be moved electrically rather than manually, so you can still drop the top even if you forgot to close the separator.

I think that the facelift's roof can also be raised/lowered whilst the car is in motion (up to a pre-set speed) and 9-speed gearbox was introduced at the same time.
