Adaptive Headlight Problem

Hi all,
I have a 06 CLK with adaptive headlights but just recently, on turning the lights on, the offside sometimes shines down well below the level of the nearside. This happens 50% of the time. Turning them off and on again has little effect, never seems to level up but the next day it can be OK again.
Has anyone had this or does anyone know if the lights can be reset?
