I have a C250D Cabriolet running on 19 inch turbine wheels and whilst I do like the car I am beginning to dislike the ride feeling every bump from our worn out brit road surfaces. I dont like driving the car anymore.
A service is due next month and I am thinking of changing tyres whilst it's in.
Bit of a daft question then, does anyone have a tyre recommendation for this car which could improve the ride quality? I do like the look of the wheels but feel the ride is compromised by them.
Last owner has fitted Accelera tyres .

To make a worthwhile difference you’ll probably need to fit smaller diameter wheels with higher profile tyres.

Yes I was wondering about that although it would spoil the look of the car if I fitted smaller wheels but I am really disliking driving the car. I was hoping other drivers may have experienced the same and had improved the ride with better tyres.
Now thinking I should sell it
Thanks for your reply

what's the profile of the 19in?
usually the go to tyre is the Michelin Pilot Sport 4s

What year is it? On 19s i presume quite new.

Are they run flats? If they are then that will definitely spoil the ride.

If you can fit 18s over the brakes then I would go 18s and PS4.

I would go with Michelins as mentioned.

I've found even with no change in size, going from cheap and nasty tyres to a decent brand gives a small improvement in ride.

Many thanks for the advice
The previous owner has fitted accelera tyres which are a cheaper brand, they are not run flats. I will get a set of Michelins fitted when the car is serviced next month.
I discovered the tyres where over inflated so have adjusted them and also my local council have resurfaced some of our worst roads which has helped the cars ride.

I’d have thought that the make of tyres alone could be making the car unpleasant to drive - I remember changing some Acceleras and Delantes (?) for some Goodyears a few years ago - it was like having a new car. Extraordinary transformation.
