Anyone bought a Becker sat nav thingy? When I bought my car the dealer said if I wanted sat nav to go the Becker route. I think it comprises a black box you plug in the glove box somewhere?
My head unit has a button for Nav already but obviously nothing happens. Would hope any Becker unit would then work with this button.

Best place to get one if they are worth having?
Is it simply plug and go? Subscriptions have to be pad or anything?

Car is a SLK R172, '15, 2.0 if that makes any difference.

Thanks

Becker Map Pilot - plenty available on eBay, Amazon, FB marketplace etc
Not sure if all cars are pre-wired for it though?
Have a look at the pics on eBay and check in your glovebox for a socket.

Great thanks.

Seem to be about £200. Eek.

Forget the Becker, it’s outdated junk.
Thankfully there is an excellent option which slots straight into the Becker cradle in the glovebox which gives wireless Apple CarPlay or android connectivity via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
On CarPlay the speech button on the steering wheel even works to trigger Siri.

No idea, I got mine from AliExpress as have many others.
There are some people trying to resell them in the U.K. for over inflated prices, but they’re exactly the same no matter what they claim about them being superior
