Hi everyone I am looking at getting a CLS 5 door estate, sub 50K miles , approx. 17 plate, I have a couple of questions, can anyone give me the internal dimensions of the rear load area, length and width, and are there any issues with the air suspension.
Thanks for your help. Cheers.

Dimensions here:

If the air suspension is the same/similar to the rear air suspension on the E class estate then it is prone to leaks from pipes and airbags. My E class is 8 years old and had the rear airbags replaced a few years ago due to slow leak.

Brilliant, Thanks just what I needed, just out of interest approximately what did the suspension repairs cost?

Mine was done under warranty. I have seen that airbags (non OEM) are a few hundred pounds each plus fitting, so not really a deal breaker. Some people have had leaks in the pipe work between the compressor and the airbags, again not so expensive in parts but annoying.

Does the CLS come with air suspension front and rear? If so that is a different and more complex system then the rear air suspension on the E class estate (so I am led to understand).

as standard its rear only, full airmatic was an option.

replacing the bags isn't a difficult job, I've not got around to doing mine yet, but its fairly straightforward.

you can get a surprising amount in the back of them, although not as much as the E class obviously.
