Had a mess around with configuring the individual drive select mode. Basically, I am trying to attain - as fast as can be, but with smoother feel over the bumps, traction on, and automatic gear mode. I can flip to manual optionally. I have the 'engine' set to Race, and the gearbox set to D. However when I engage individual mode, it seems to default to a weird kind of manual gearbox mode where it doesn't seem to want to shift up or down itself. The cogs button is disengaged, which i know because when i click it, it moves to full manual mode. When in supposedly auto mode i can see on the HUD the gear numbers above and below the one i am currently on, which normally only happens in manual mode! If in auto mode you can only see the currently selected gear.... what's going on?

Pretty sure Race is the no traction control, manual gearbox, rock hard suspension, launch control mode for the track.

If you dial it back to Sports + does that allow comfort suspension and auto gearbox? It makes little difference to the throttle mapping switching between Sport + and Race.

There is also something with Race and sports suspension ( its says 'sport' in orange on the dash ) mode which doesn't allow you to use the cruise control.

Individual mode is where you can configure your own.

Hi Blown2CV, I know, I have one ;-).

If you don't get any answers I will dig mine out of the garage and try it out at the weekend.

Cheers!

the only thing i can think of is that somehow transmission D is not available if the engine is set to Race.... but it lets you choose it! Either that or transmission D with engine in Race maybe does something mental like only changes up at the red line! Maybe it is answered in the manual!

It’s normal and faulty imo - race mode holds gears until redline as it’s designed for the track but it’s the only way to open all the valves in the exhaust and get most aggressive engine mapping.

Either use race mode with manual transmission
S+ for pops and bangs
S no p&b

Ah ok. Well that makes sense. I guess manual gears it is! Red like up changes not viable on the road. Mine pops and bangs more than standard as it’s been DMS’d.

I do like it but it can be a bit excessive sometimes!
