How chavvy do you want it to look and what colour do YOU like ?

Joking aside, I'd go yellow.

Yellow if you want it to stand out, silver to be discrete with the Mercedes Benz picked out in black?

What colour is the car? Maybe use the same colour on the calipers, but definitely pick out the Mercedes badge in black.

Oops! Just re-read the thread title!

I would go silver. With the badge highlighted in black. Would be very subtle.

Didn't Mercedes used to race in silver?

I've got a black Ibiza. Trim on the seats is red so I'm going red calipers with anthracite wheels

You can go with anything you want with black. Personally think red, yellow or silver go best but that's just me

Black. And change the wheels back to whatever silver ones were fitted new.

Mauve.

If I was going for a custom paint job then I'd be picking a colour that wasn't a normal colour (so not silver, red, yellow, blue etc).

Can't say I've ever painted calipers but I'll be honest, quite like it when manufacturers have coloured calipers. I'd go with a colour that picks out other accents on the car. So if you've got yellow badges then go yellow, etc.

Calipers are usually hard to clean and always get dirty, so I'd go satin black.

Petronas green/teal would work well on a black Mercedes

I have a gunmetal grey Insignia with diamond cut black wheels. I went for sky blue. Stands out but not garish.

OP: however many different answers you get, the decision will still end up being yours to make - and you'll still be wrong. smile

I actually quite like that, although not sure how it would look on my SLK55 ... Perhaps a colour best suited to black wheels, rather than silver?

OP, a black car and black wheels means you can get away with pretty much any colour! I'd probably go black or silver, but you could choose red, yellow, white, lime, purple, whatever!

Agree - my black car has red seats and door trims, so red calipers for me (silver wheels).

How about paint that changes color as it gets hot?

If small brakes I’d go silver and try to make them look smart while not highlighting the size.

If they’re big, performance brakes then I’d go for a lime green like Lister use on their version of the F-Type.
