Mercedes Me app, registration on second hand car

Hi all,

I've just picked up a year old E class estate and want to access the Mercedes me app for charging info etc.
It's currently registered to the previous owner and I believe I can change the registration by visiting a Mercedes dealership. Has anyone experienced this and does it cost anything from Mercedes? It's a company car through lease plan so I assume I will have to get confirmation of ownership from them first

I had this issue and it was a right faff to sort out. Tried contacting my local dealer (car was purchased from an Indy) but they were as much use as a deckchair on the Titanic.

In the end, I went direct to:

They sorted it all out for me quite quickly.

Thanks for the reply. I think I've sorted it though by contacting the previous owner. Got his pin and managed to reset it. Hopefully I can get it all set up now

If the reset doesn't work I had mine transferred to me by going into the dealer with the V5 and my driving licence. You need to have set up a Mercedes Me account and they assign the car to your account. They did it there and then, took 10 mins.

All sorted thanks Lee. The reset worked and I had to wait until the next day for the options to appear on the app
