Cls 350 Egr Valve Problem

Hi everbody,

I bought a 2008 cls 350 petrol 3 months ago, I really like the car but 2 weeks ago the engine light on and the car didn't start.

I sent the car to the dealer's garage as it has the seller's warranty. The mechanic said today the EGR valves are stuck, needs replacement and it is very difficult to find the new valves.

Do you have any suggestions for finding the parts? I looked at eBay and send messages to some sellers but if you have any suggestions, garage or anything please share with me?

Can you blank the egr valve, can you clean it out?

What has you mechanic recommended doing as a temp measure?

My mechanic doesn't want to change the valves because of the ridiculous prices. He will blank the valves and update the map.
