I have an issue with a warranty that does not cover water ingress. I propose challenging that exclusion.
Has any other Merc owner had this fault or aware if it's a common problem specifically in the boot.
Thanks

Mine doesn't, but there again it is a Unimog and doesn't have a boot (joke).

On a more serious note, you might get a better response if you told us what year and model it is, and ideally the model code e.g. R171.

I can't help you with that model, but convertibles usually have drain holes near the boot - have you checked yours aren't blocked?

I'd recommend this also. I started to notice damp in my 2012 E Class Cab boot and traced it back to a blocked drain hole.

Few pic attached of the crap under the plastic drain covers.
