Hello All

I've had a '19 plate S213 for 11 months with my iPhone paired since day 1. I noticed today that the phone wasn't connected after starting the car, and I've not been able to resolve the issue.

So far I have:

- Turned the phone on / off.
- Turned bluetooth on / off (several times).
- Turned the car on & off (several times).
- Reset the car to factory settings (this was my last resort as of course all personalisation and data were lost).
- Deleted the car as a device on the phone (so that the phone was seeking a 'fresh' device).
- Tried the car's connectivity & bluetooth settings via both the Tel menu and the Settings menu.

As I say, no joy. When bluetooth is activated in the car, I just get an endless circling arrow.

My next move is to take the car in, but before I do does anyone have any ideas or has encountered this before?

Thanks in advance.
John

Had the same albeit on a 2015 e class and iPhone 13 (sorry to lower the tone!). Deleted it from the car and phone a couple of times and now seems to be working again. Weird to say the least, but give it a try.

Thanks Inthesticks.

No joy unfortunately - as soon as I go into the TEL module, or Bluetooth, the screen says "Activating Bluetooth..." and I get the continuous swirling symbol. No further inputs work, all I can then do is go back to the main menu.

I assume it's a software issue - car is booked in for a service in a couple of weeks so I'll be asking Merc to address it then.

Thanks anyway.

Suggest troubleshooting by trying to pair another phone to the car. If that works, then its likely a problem with your phone (sw update?)… or if that also fails the car BT module probably has a problem.

Thanks M1AGM.

I have tried to pair a different phone - also didn't work. Based on the lack of response to further input commands when in the TEL / Bluetooth menu, and the continually circulating symbol, I now assume an issue with the car.

Let's see how Merc get on in a couple of weeks!
