I have a 2008 Vito, with the 2.2 Diesel engine.
Had trouble starting a couple of weeks back after a very cold frosty night.
Since then, I had the glow plugs replaced, as they were the originals at 133k miles old.
Been fine until a very cold frosty night again last night & just turning over & over this morning, not firing, until later when it wasn’t so cold.
Any advice most welcome. Thanks

Battery OK brinian? Maybe starter load plus glow plugs is maybe too much for battery in really cold weather

Starter Motor? As for a 2008 car it is probably on way out, so I would look to test and replace it if needed.

And test battery/alternator ofcourse.

On Merc cars can be the seals in fuel lines letting air in - mine can be iffy if parked facing up hill. Also with low fuel level.

Fuel rail pressure could be low.
