MK2 Sprinter, would this be the body control module?

Hi all, got my eye on a Sprinter and the ad says:
IT HAS SOME KIND OF ELECTRICAL FAULT
WHICH HAS BEEN DIAGNOSED
AS THE BODY CONTROL MODULE
SOMETIMES IT DRIVES WITH POWER
THEN IT WONT ACCELERATE AND DASH LIGHTS GO OFF
Aside from the caps
does that sound likely? If so, can the BCM/SAM just be swapped out, presumably for one with the same part number, or is dealer programming required?
