Slk Gearbox issues
Discussion
Hi All
I'd be grateful of your opinions
I have a 2011 SlK and a while ago it had the engine management light come on with Nox sensor issues reported . I took it along to the dealers who suggested that there could be a variety of reasons for the issue and that the first thing to replace should be the temperature sensor as this was the lowest cost and could fix the whole issue . Thankfully this did the job , so all good
So today , 6 months later I took the car to have the transmission serviced , purely due to my intention to use the car more regularly and because it was a while since it was done .
Dropped the car off the fairly quickly got a call from the garage to explain that they had found a number of issues when plugging the car in and their advice is to run the car for a month and then revisit to see if the codes have reappeared before spending money on the gearbox service.
Issues identified are
P13AB64 ,the efficiency of Nox sensor, cylinder bank 1 is inadequate, silfurous fuel suspected
P221401 , Nox sensor cylinder bank 2 faulty
P002177, inlet camshaft cylinder bank 2 position differs from the specified value
P0606 , component Y3/8n4 control module for VGS faulty
P0893 , hydraulic fault in transmission
The car drives fine , with no warning lights on the dash
So I confess I'm struggling with what to do next I need a reliable car have any of you had these codes previously and are they the forerunner to a hugely expensive fix ?
Thanks for your help
