Since I bought my A220 last year, the thing I hate most is the suspension. It's the AMG line W177 model but it's quite possibly the worst setup I've encountered over many years of motoring. Surely that can't all be like this? It's the non adjustable type but seems to be under damped , wallowy, crashy and has particular trouble coping with anything other than a super smooth surface.
This is my first Mercedes and much as I like the rest of the car the suspension let's it's it down badly so much so that I'm considering changing it or possibly an upgrade kit such as KW.
Any thoughts or advice?

I recently bought a GLA250 4 Matic, this has adjustable suspension, and not one of the options gives a comfortable ride. Every time you hit a bit of rough road the driver and passengers are rocked from side to side, and every pothole is an unwelcome experience. In sport and economy mode everything tightens up and that is fine when you are looking to do a fastish journey with good cornering etc. but comfort is just unobtainable. I know this does not answer your question specifically, but you have my opinion on the standard set up Mercedes offers on their cars with adjustable suspension. Of course, this is only my opinion, but if you read an Autotrader report on this car they have the same objections
For my part, I wish I had given the car a more extensive road test before purchase, but I was limited due to lockdown measures, but at the end of the day I consider my car as an expensive mistake.

A180 AMG-line suspension is rather crap. It’s also ridiculously low at 120mm (104mm loaded).

God knows how bad the A180d with it’s torsion beam rear suspension must be.
