G63 AMG leadtimes

I have spent three months looking & getting the same responses you have, 12 months minimum from main dealers. I started off not wanting to pay overs but at the end of the day got what I wanted in the spec I would of ordered for 9k over list. My thinking changed to, with price rises etc it could well cost that or more in 12 months so let’s have it now.
Check out F12, Daniel Myers, & Redline.
They are fantastic vehicles & every time I press the start button brings a smile.

Very similar story here, nothing at the main dealers, and I was then strung along by a broker saying he had a car coming, but that never materialised for whatever reason.
Ended up buying a 6 month old car for around list. That I felt got me what I wanted quickly, and leaves the option open for ordering a new one at leisure if I want.
The noise is superb, it just burbles everywhere, with a real punch when needed, would definitely recommend.

You have to love Mercedes-Benz dealers. You go into their dealerships to buy one of their most expensive cars and you are made to feel as if you are inconveniencing the sales person by asking when you might actually be able to get a car. I had exactly the same when I was buying my G63. Tried several dealers locally (Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk) and they couldn't be less interested. Never even bothered to get back to me with a delivery time. I eventually bought my car from central London.
By the way, just wait until you need to visit the dealer for a service. You will feel as if you have arrived with a Trabant rather than a Mercedes. Great car but absolutely dreadful dealers!

i've been keeping a close eye on used G63's and they are holding rock solid. Some are eye watering prices considering they are lightly used but they appear to be selling.
i assume the shortage of new cars are driving up prices of the used market, not that the G wagon needed any more excuse to hold even more value.
£130k gets a 2018 car with average miles. Slightly less appears to get a new G400d albeit whatever is in stock, meaning not to the spec i'd like.
Tough one really. None of my local dealers in south wales have demonstrators to even try let alone tempt into selling.
