Looking at potentially going for a W204 C Class as the next family wagon. Question I can't seem to find an accurate answer for is around the engines, in particular the petrols.

I want a facelift, pre facelift looks so much older, however I don't have much interest in the 4 cylinder options. Now I can see the C350 (petrol) is available as a pre facelift estate but can see no facelifts available. A quick search on parkers seems to show that it wasn't available in the facelift.

I have however seen a couple of coupe facelift C350s for sale but these are of no use to me. Seems odd that they would continue it in the coupe only?

Can anyone shed any light on whether they discontinued this engine for this estate facelift?

Here is the official press pack from Mercedes UK for the facelift W204.
Confirms that the only petrol available in the UK was a four cylinder (I presume this excludes the AMG versions).

Interesting, although I'm not sure entirely accurate. Doesn't list the 350 diesel which definitely was an option post facelift

Seems C350 petrol facelift saloons exist in Japan, I guess estates may well too although I don't see any on goo-net.

Unless you're very lucky you might have to wait for a long time (particularly if you have any preferences for colour, mileage etc. etc.) as they are few and far between; no doubt why they stopped them in the UK smile.

Biggest problem you have is how rare the 350 engine is in the 204.
I’m quite sure I’ve seen a 350 204 estate on some Mercedes Facebook pages, but I’m quite sure it’s a prefacelift so not the 306ps di engine.

I’ve got one in the coupe facelift and looking at how many left - there is 179 350 coupes in the U.K.

Good luck with your search - took me a while to get a low mileage coupe !

Hi just out of interest when you look at how many left, were can you see the breakdown in numbers between coupes, salons & estates as I would be interested to know how many C350 CGI estates they are.

I’ve not gone through it for saloons and estates.
I’ll have to have a look and see what it brings up.

To add - interesting but I don’t see a way to split is down.
My assumption was my model and my model only .
I was incorrect.
So out of the 350 engine across coupe saloon and estate on the facelift version there is currently :
160 blue efficiency amg sport cy - a
4 sorn.
67 blue efficiency amg sport plus cy - a
1 sorn.

Not many at all.
