Just bought myself a 2014 E250 coupe, and so far I am very pleased with it. Only thing I haven't figured out is why this shows for a few seconds after pulling away when no one is sitting in the back?

It's not the seat belt alerts, there's no warning bongs and the seat back being insecure is a different message. Any ideas?

If you press the OK button on the left it will turn off, you have to do this every time you start it, or as you say it turns off its self after a short time, must just be a check cycle as mine does it too.

It's just telling you that neither of the rear seatbelts are fastened.

There are no sensors in the seats so it doesn't know if someone is sitting there, but tells you whether the belt is fastened.

Haha I’ve had quite a few Mercs and I never knew what it meant.
