CLK front plate plinth - v shaped?

Looking at a 2009 era CLK as a runaround and the front plate will need replacement. The shape of the bracket makes it look like its V shaped? Presumably an off the shelf plate will delaminate in the rear if its bent to be bolted into place so I wondered if there was a special v shaped plate that is designed for the plinth?

The SLK front plate is the same - I think it is just a case of warming up gently bending the plate to fit.

No need to even warm it. I have a 2008 CLK. fitted new plates around 6 years ago and the screws simply hold it in a slightly bent v arrangement. No delamination so relax and simply screw the plate on!
