Currently have a BMW M135i and I am thinking about buying a C63S coupe as a replacement. Had a sit in one yesterday and it felt very wide and low from the drivers seat, very different to the M135i.

My budget will stretch to £45k-£50k so I can get a low/no spec non S facelift car or a really nice pre facelift, I think I have decided to go pre facelift but interested to know if that's the right choice? Ideally looking for a Premium pack car with Burmister, performance bucket seats and carbon or wood centre dash. Do they come with Apple car play as standard or is that an option I should be looking for?

Other than lots of petrol, tyres and brakes is there anything else I should be worried about in terms of up keep?

Also looking for peoples opinions on what they are like in the real world, seen all the sliding on track you tube videos but not a lot of 5am on a Wednesday morning driving to the office info around about them.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

just Today I saw one in my street and parked next to my house, I thought what is that sound, sounded like a monster and the driver also gave it some extra revs then let it a while stationary, it was a black C63s looked very nice, but also a bit 'dark' aso? then his passenger went in again and they took off in front of my house, you could hear it very well, a very powerful sound, very cool, the driver was not a white man and fitted the car, while he drove of he was also busy (typing) with his mobile phone in his hand...

I just wanted a good look of such car, because I like the power and the sound and the easy power upgrade if you want to.

but I think for me such car is maybe a bit to 'much' (also pretty 'big' )maybe better save some extra for a AMG GTS or GT R those don't look so much like a 'criminal' or 'aso' escape car laugh but still like them, but like and owning one...hm, still not sure.

Exterior changes are fairly small between the two. The interior changes are more noticeable, particularly the different steering wheel and instrument cluster. A big difference mechanically is the pre-facelift runs the 7 speed transmission and the facelift runs the 9 speed MCT. The 9 speed is nice and has quicker changes, but i've never driven the 7 speed and thought it could do with two more gears, or that it's a far inferior box compared to the 9 speed. Engine remained largely unchanged between the two. I haven't lived with either of them, but i've driven both plenty of times, and i've never found anything that would make it difficult or tedious to do the daily commute in.

Personally i'd have a well spec'd pre facelift over the facelift, but i would recommend getting out there and having a test drive in the two to see for yourself. I very much expect the 9 speed, and the more modern interior changes might be enough to sway it for some people.
