W213 E300 sounds like a diesel

Hi everyone.
Just recently got an 2018 e300 cabriolet. The engine sounds like a bag of bolts at idle, almost sounds like a diesel. I understand this isn't massively unusual for mercedes 4 pot petrol. Anyone got any experience in this? Marginally concerned it fubar!

I had an SLC with this engine and never thought it to be agricultural?

It doesnt really pop and bang with any zest but is a well behaved enough ICE for cruising. I'm especially surprised in E form its noisy, as i've also had an E400d Couple which is one of the quietest/most refined cars ive ever had (mainly due to the sound deadening of the E class).

I posted a video on the w213 Facebook page and everyone seemed to agree it was normal.
Maybe I am too sensitive!
