R129 replacement roof
Discussion
When I bought my car some of the stitching had come apart.
I bought an awl and thread kit (I think that's what it was called) and had a go at restitching the failed section.
It kind of worked and looked ok on the outside but I had managed to leave a few extra loops on the inside.
It was enough to tell me that I was not going to try and replace the windows myself.
I was at the local trimmers before the first lockdown, agreed a price, and they were ordering in the windows.
In the spell between lockdowns he was too busy trying to catch up on old work to get me back in so I am still waiting and the cracks get bigger every time the roof is operated.
