I believe head bolts can stretch on these but maybe on the later ones. I drove one from mallorca up to the midlands then back to mallorca and it was epic. 6 tanks of fuel in one day from barcelona to northern france. Stayed the night there then drove on. Cars was only 18 months old at the time and still got great memories of the gear box going full chat between some roundabouts for about twenty mins. Saw 4.1 mog for that stretch but avg 21 across the whole trip and was amazing. Had the choice of about 10 cars at the time ferrari amg audi rs etc and that was still to the day the car i would pick to do the journey again. The noise on cold start in the underground garage was incredible. Buy one you wont regret it.

I have one, I also owned an SL55 (2007 P30)

The 63 is a much better car.

"The SL63 is a surprising drive. It steers, handles and goes quite unlike the car it replaces"

Only 250 R230 63s in the UK so not that many owners on PH.

In my 5 years of ownership I have replaced the...

Head Bolts
Lifters
2 Front Struts
Pulsation Damper
Roof Pump
Engine Mountings
Front Discs
(Brake Pads, Tyres etc.)

Mine will be replaced with an R231 facelift 63.
