c350e - estate - servicing schedule and cost
Discussion
Morning All,
Just about to have my, new to me, c350e delivered!
Was going to take out a MB service plan to cover standard services for the next 4 years, but wanted to know from anyone who's had one what are the service schedules? I know there's an A and B. I have a service history, but am trying to work out whats due next.
Also what's the cost of these services at MB?
I have an independant MB garage locally, that will be cheaper but will that put you off at sales time?
I normally do servicing myself as I do tend to keep my cars a long time but would like someone else to care for this one.
Many thanks
Tim

Congrats on your C350e. If you want to work out what's next, use MB service quote and that will tell you what's due next. I paid £500 for my service last year and it's going to be £650 in a few months (B service with spark plugs too) - the cost of servicing varies depending upon where in the country you are. I'm based in London, which is stupidly expensive at MB dealers.

As soon as my C350e hits the 6 year point at the end of this year, I plan to get rid of mine, as the hybrid system warranty from MB runs out after 62k/6 years.
They clearly don't have the same faith as Toyota in their hybrid technology in terms of longevity, and the C350e is not a cheap car to repair should the hybrid system malfunction or the battery need replacing.
You're a brave man to want to keep one long term!
I am about to pick up one as well next Thursday, I've been quoted 40 pounds a month for the Mercedes service plan which I think is reasonable, I also like the unending Mercedes road side recovery if you keep the main dealer service record.
I am mostly though looking forward to feeling just how much of a difference the electric motor makes in sport plus.

Even in Sport+, it doesn't feel as fast as the stats on paper, also depends how much charge you have in the battery, in terms of very low charge, you won't get max performance. Still, it's quite effortless to drive due to all the torque. I am mostly though looking forward to feeling just how much of a difference the electric motor makes in sport plus.
When is it due for its next service?
MB had an offer on ServiceCare around September time with 20% off and in the past they've done similar on Black Friday. So if you could hang on until then it might be worthwhile. No guarantees they'll run the offers though.
If you look as MyService, as another poster suggested, bear in mind different dealers can quote different prices. Make sure it captures all the work due, otherwise you might get a shock when you take it in as the dealer has you over a barrel. I don't know what happens now with electronic service records, but some dealers wouldn't stamp the old Service books unless all the work called for was done.

My C350e service plan is £36 a month so I reckon it's worth it if you are going to stick with main dealers.
Servicing is alternate A and B, but it's annual if you don't hit the mileage. It also includes the sunroof service (if you have one) and my dealer collects and returns the car at no charge. If you have a main dealer service, the Mercedes recovery service (Mobilo) is also maintained.

How have you found living with your 350e?Servicing is alternate A and B, but it's annual if you don't hit the mileage. I've enjoyed it thanks. It suits my needs pretty well. I have a short urban commute and occasional longer trips away. It's very comfortable and well equipped. Plenty of oomph for longer journeys and overtaking. It's not a sports car by any means but a good tourer.Only had one (common) issue - water ingress in to the suspension compressor meant I lost air to the rear suspension and it had to be recovered. Was covered under extended warranty. It's a common MB problem. On these cars the compressor is in the nearside front wing and seems susceptible to getting moisture into the wiring which then conks out the compressor.
