Mercedes tyres “scrubbing”
Discussion
Our 4WD 2017 E saloon on 19's does it, with the much higher profile tyre coming on the GLE we have just bought i hope it's not so much of an issue (if at all), as said above this problem has been evident for a long time now, though I seem to remember reading about a new design of suspension knuckle being used on the C class ?

f this is a serious reply then - what a load of utter bullst.
If on the other hand it was meant to be humorous then -
See how i covered both options there.
My leased SLK did this, mentioned at first service and in true tvr language “they all do that sir ! Lived with it for two years. If on the other hand it was meant to be humorous then -

The mustang gt that replaced the SLK did it, mentioned it and it was cured, slightly modified wheel alignment, by Ford, perfect . No uneven tyre wear.
Many years ago my rx7 turbo would scrub the inside of the tyres, all to spec but their engineering department did a little tweek, again perfect.
So after all that, someone prepared to go slightly from factory spec might have knowledge.

When yo buy a new Mercedes you have to sign to acknowledge this happens and you understand it is not a fault

I have a 2019 E Class estate with PS4s.
When stationary and at low speeds, when I turn the wheel, it sounds like the tyres and kind of fighting against the road. The noise is awful and you really feel it through the steering.
Any thoughts?
Make a brew and google it. Lots to read on Ackerman angles etc. Our A Class does it in cold weather (although oddly, since switching to PS4s I haven't noticed it). When stationary and at low speeds, when I turn the wheel, it sounds like the tyres and kind of fighting against the road. In short, try to stay off full lock when it's cold because you can't 'fix it'.

They did try and get people to sign waivers for the GLC, which was really bad for crabbing, but I think the waivers were withdrawn.

Wow.....seriously! ETA:
That is quite incredible.
I wonder at which stage of the negotiations this was introduced...then how many sales it lost them?
Disgraceful by Mercedes...although I'm still struggling to believe it.

They lost a Motor Ombudsman case on a GLC - then refused to abide by the decision! That is quite incredible.
