From BMW i3S To W212 E350d Avantgarde

The lease on the i3S is up & it goes today.
Having calculated the 2 year cost of the 25k a year lease (near £15k), we have decided to try a different approach for the next car as an experiment.
We have purchased a single owner, 53k mile 2010 W212 E350d Avantgarde as an experiment for the next 2-4 years. Will be interesting to see what the yearly expense works out as in comparison, my spreadsheet says that after the first year we'll be we'll be saving money.
We collect the W212 today, and to be honest I can't wait, I was astonished by how good the car is, given it's size & weight it certainly feels quite spritely and oh my work is it comfy. It has a few nice options & above all, has the rather lovely Alpaca Grey leather.

Nice. I like the colour combo - and I like that the seats are a lighter colour but the bottom of the door cards and the carpeted tunnel area (i.e. the areas likely to get scuffed with dirty feet) are still dark.
I think this shape is ageing really well, and IMO is a much more interesting design than the successor. I had a facelift W212 in estate form (single front light cluster instead of split) and miss it, preferred it to the current CLS.
